Most video isn't in the page source.
A modern player fetches its media after you press play, from a CDN address that never appears in the HTML. Simply Video Downloader Pro watches what the page requests and lists what it finds.
Plain files
mp4, webm, mkv, mov, ts, mp3, m4a, aac, ogg, opus, wav, flac and more, saved straight through.
HLS streams
The .m3u8 playlist is read, the full quality ladder is offered, and segments are fetched and joined locally.
DASH streams
The .mpd manifest is parsed, including multi-period and timeline-based presentations.

Being straight with you
What it will not do.
Plenty of extensions in this category promise everything. These limits are deliberate, and we would rather you read them here than discover them after installing.
It does not break DRM
Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay and SAMPLE-AES streams are detected, clearly labelled, and refused. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and most paid course platforms are protected this way and will not download.
It does not do YouTube
YouTube is excluded, because downloading from it is against the YouTube Terms of Service.
It does not bypass paywalls
If you cannot play it in the browser, the extension cannot save it either. It works with what the page already has access to.
Live means record, not instant save
Live HLS has no defined end, so the extension records it until you press Stop and then assembles one local file. DRM-protected live streams are still refused.
